Printing CADCAM PDF Manuals / HTML Help

For years I have agonized over buying a printer and could not make a
decision because all the printers I looked at lacked what I considered
to be very important features. Here is what I felt I needed:

1. The ability to print in color. Most CADCAM PDF manuals or HTML help
files use color and IMO black and white does not give you the needed
info.

2. The ability to print on both sides of the paper with ease.

3. Reasonably priced consumables. (ink)

I finally settled on the Cannon PIXMA MP 530. Less than $200. Not fast
but gets job done for me / meets all the criteria in 1-3 above. I
really didn't want an all-in-one unit but the ink jet printer business
seems to have gone this way. I like the quality of how the Cannon
PIXMA MP 530 is built.

As a side note, I have a preference for being able to lay the book
I'm working with flat and I prefer plastic comb binding.
