Group,
I've been in this business for a long time and I know what a J thread form
should look like. I ran across a customer that had a print that specified
a UNR thread. The machinery handbook says smooth transition to a radius at
the root. What is the difference between the two?
Thanks in advance.
In a nutshell - UNJ external has a larger root radius than UNR, UNJ internal
has a larger minor diameter than UNR.
