Look under PMT Tools > End Mills > Nano Tools

Michael:

Now THOSE are some SMALL end mills - and they even look like end
mills.

I bought a microscope off Ebay last week. I am now building MBR (Membrane
Bio Reactor) waste water systems. I am trying to learn about the biology
that makes these things work. Every time I talk to one of the experts about
what is going on they say "What's it look like under the microscope?" and of
course we don't have one. As a kid I was always interested in this kind of
stuff. However, between a toy microscope and bad eyes I never could see the
cool stuff they show in pictures. So I figured I'd buy myself a real
microscope. It would be something to share with the grandson too.

I bought an American Optical 150. They were apparently the big dog in
microscopes about 20 years ago. There were a ton of them for sale on the
Internet. This thing is a real beauty! It has stereo eyepieces, four
object lens from 4.5 to 1000 power, a 20 watt halogen lamp with a dimmer,
condenser lens for the light source, an iris, coarse and fine focus, and a
slide holder that grabs the end of the slide and moves they in the X and Y
axis using concentric knobs driving a rack and pinion. I had no idea what
any of this crap did, but after playing with a little while every single
feature is really nice to have!

I still can't see well though! I have so many floaters in my eyes that it
is really hard to see what you are looking at with all that *** floating
across the view all the time. So I ordered an eyepiece camera. That will
allow me do the viewing on my laptop and save pictures of what I see too.
This will be great for sharing with my grandson too. I'll also be able to
send pictures of what I see to the experts so they explain what the heck I
am seeing.

The difference between men and boys is just the price of their toys.
