How about using a quick change holder?

Baiscally the boring holder shank is shaped like an ER collet, but has
locating pins in it. The screws that hold the boring bar in are
perpendicular to the pins. The ER chuck has pin slots which are parallel
to
the flat on the shank. They stock 3/4" shanks.

You can also use it as a quick change drill holder.

I've been wishing something like that existed for a couple of years now. I
called them today and ordered a bunch of holders for our Stars. I totally
dig the quick change on the collets as well.
