How do I remove the table from my Bridgeport 308 Discovery. There are
what look like plugs on the bottom side of the ways hiding the screws
to the table. How do they come out? Are ther any instructions I can
usuallyto repair the machine. I have all the maintenance mauals and operation
manuals.
Sounds like maybe plastic caps in the linear rail fastener holes...I
see if the lube system was working properly. It wasn't, we can see a lubejust drill a small hole then use a wood screw to drive them out.
Replacements caps can usually be bought at a hardware store.
--Thanks I'll give it a try. We just bought the machine and wanted to
line that was worn and leaking under the table. looks like the only way to
get to the lube headers is by removing the table. The line is below the ball
screw on top of the saddle.
Good luck with it, I was just giving generic info--not being pamiliar
familiar with that particular machine.
