"Watching these videos make me thankful for VX these days :)entity
selection is WAY WAY better in VX. Solids modeling takes half the
steps, etc..."
True. VX modeling is well thought out and superior to MasterCAM
modeling in any way I can think of.
"So to pick faces on a solid, you have to change a configuration form?
On VX, there is a selection filter right smack in the middle of the
toolbar in VX. To VX faces are faces. whether it be on a solid, or just
a simple open face."
Yup, very easy... fun in fact.
Only one problem... VX CAM needs lots and lots or work compared to
MasterCAM which is easier to use and much better thought out CAM wise.
VX CAM has no lathe, no wire, no mill turn support, etc and VX would be
an insanely bad choice for a shop that is using say Gibbs to quickly
crank out production type programs.
VX needs an open forum like DelCAM has for PowerShape and PowerMill,
like Rhino has, like Mecsoft offers for VisualMill and RhinoCAM to get
feedback from a much *greater variety of machinists*.
In addition I see very little improvement in VX marketing. In FACT VX
marketing has taken steps backwards in some areas and this is a shame.
