Post your worst nightmare here.
Just want to see if any were as bad as my
big mistake.
I was running a brand new agie edm, it was probing a part for location, and
the damn thing went dumb and lost its electrical contact. The probe came
down on the part relatively slow and busted the carbide ball and rod and hit
me right above my eye. Gashed me pretty bad.
So Its 2 years later and Im probing an electrode on a mill for cmm data
and I forgot a line of code and the probe rapided down on my electrode
smashing the probe tip.
The weird part is it hit me right in the head in almost the same spot.
Didnt hurt this time, but what are the chances of getting hit by a broken
probe twice in the same spot years apart on different machines from 2
different processes?
One in a million. Which happens about nine out of ten times.
