Now, where to get large "industrial" grade Diamonds cheap?

There really is no need! Back in Denver where I used to live, I was
able to find a cast off diamond-dust cutters wheel just to get an
exposure to what it took to cut facets. This is basically steel that
has diamond dust sprinkled in it while still molten. What I imagine
you could do is mill out a section, lathe it so that the diamond dust
is on the business end, and you then can chuck it and grind your
pockets.

Could that be worth a try?
