I've seen them. They look really cool, but I would bet
the software to run them has a cost from outer space.
I know the HomeBrew market has been playing with them for some time,
though I have not followed it very closely.

I think there is a, or a few specific newsgroups on this technique.
Regarding software costs, I would imagine it would be rediculously high
if one of the brand names are involved, but I know that there are PC
based controls for them for minimal investment amounts.
