UG is a full 5 axes CAD/CAM system.
So is Mastercam.
I don't have X Bob, but none of the prior releases were. That isn't
to say that you can't do 5 Axis with MC but the software had no
kinematics internally and that is what Cliff is probably refering
to. Saying that a system is a "full 5 axis CAD/CAM system" hasn't
much meaning. Saying that a CAM product has an integrated
kinematics engine means everything, which is one reason you don't
see the reference in advertising material. You'd be able to sort
the wheat from the chaff without a Vulcan Mind Meld. UG has such
capabilities in their modelling technology out of the box. So does
Catia. All of the kinematics in MC used to be, and probably still
are, in the post processor which is why having a working post is
such a big deal. You aren't just formatting with the post, you are
doing all of the matrix algebra as well and that means what you see
ain't always what you get.
John:
That's interesting. I've heard of Mastercam doing 5 axis work for
years, they even say full 5 axis machining on their website. Thanks
for that informative update though.
Or was John correct in his speculation
that you're just trolling. You wouldn't consider doing such a
thing, now would you? LMAO!
Just spit Bob. You aren't a swallower are ya' 8->
It's just idle chit-chat. But it seems Cliff if going through
political discussion withdrawals and is looking for an outlet for all
his pent-up antagonism and animosity. LOL

Cliffy's found someone he can share it with with failed CADCAM
salesman John Carroll.
Jon,
I delivered the fifth full 5 axis software seat of the year two days ago. If
that's failure I'll take all I can get.
