I ran a Yasnac once that had the 6 on it and the tool change safe position
was at G130. You couldn't get at the values from the offset page.
If your code didn't have the G130 command preceeding a tool change there
was
a good chance the tool changer would whack the moving portion of the sheet
metal and stop. A real pain and yes, I had it happen once, but the
recovery
procedure was such a hassle it didn't happen again. No repeat occurance
required so to speak.
You would have thought they'd have built something into the PLC to prevent
this from happening but they didn't.

In this case G29 and G30 are probably both usable and it's my experience
that FADAL's, for example, can't be prevented from going all the way home
under program control any other way. There may have been a setting
somewhere
but it wasn't an issue cutting cavities foe molds so I didn't spend a lot
of
time figuring it out.

Yeah, really helps to know what control and even machine/ model he has, and
also what exactly he's trying to accomplish...

G28 Z0. M09
G91 G28 X-30. Y-20. M05
M00

Would that work?

Naww....I'd suggest this one instead :

( Wink )
