DNC to acramatic 850 suggestions

We have several machines with Cincinnati / Siemens  Acramatic 850 / 850SX
controls.
Currently we are communication via RS232.

We finally have to replace the old pc handling the communication.

New PC with Win XP

How can we communicate with the controls. The new PC has no RS232 port only
USB

I found adapters RS232 to Ethernet. Is there software that lets us
communicate both ways to and from the machines like we can now via Ethernet
or the USB port.

Any help is appreciated.
