In the past three weeks(with some helpfrom this group) I feel Im maxing out
a haas #2 to the max. The rpm is set at 999% overides, to ensure 100%
feedrate. The variable feedrates Im using is 45 IPM along the straitaways,
and 18IPM around corners. Running 3 parts at a time making it run non stop
20 hours a day 7 days a week.
The machine is 3 years old and as good as a brand new machine. However, I
expect in 2-3 weeks the machine starts to break down. Then I will have to
deal with a medium grade beat machine.
I agree with your statement cliff, stay within the class of work the
machine was designed for or expect to be running a fried out piece of crap
real soon, like I am about to experience real soon.
