adchin, you hit the nail on the head. i dont care if its so slow that
it takes even 2-4 hours to mill a single part. i just want to learn CNC
and make some decent aluminum parts for me and my friends at the hobby
shop.
do they make any low-end CNCs that would like fit on a desk or small
table? i do want something that is not a POS, but i also cant spend 2
months worth of paychecks on what will be little more than a cool toy
for me.
i recall my high school having a very cheesy CNC mill in one of their
rooms to teach students elementary CNCing. that sort of sounds like
what im looking for, excapt theirs could only mill soft plasitcs. i
want to be able to mill aluminum, even if the feed rate has to be super
low.
am i just out of luck, or is it do-able for under $500 including
everything i need except a PC.
