When you crack this nut, please let the rest of us know.
That's why you can't find a public domain version of APT.
It's worth too much money to the right people. There *should*
be a public domain version somewhere as it's initial development
was funded by the government. But good luck finding it *and*
having access to the right hardware to read the media it's stored on.
