Not sure which end of the connection ya'll are talking about....
But I recently had to use data my mill printed out of the serial port from
cmm ops.
Just used hyperteminal for that. At that point I could print or create a
file.
As far as sending and receiving files, I pulled the com program from
mastercam and stuck it in a perl script that asks you job number and program
name, so now we pull and push files directly from the directory's on the
network they belong in.
The workers can forget all about directorys and where things go.
