Cliff:

That would depend on how "round" the hole NEEDS to be, now wouldn't
it.

I'm sure most everyone is aware of the following drawbacks of single
point boring compared to interpolating or plunging; possible chatter
and poor finish, non sharp base corner due to insert radius, insert wear
and the resultant dimensional change, setup time to dial the bore
dimension in, often higher cycle times than interpolation or plunging.
Having said all that, sometimes single point boring is the only
reasonable process to use.
