Re: dyna 2200, 2400, 2800; PC to machine communication...

look at NCnet Lite from http://cadem.com/ncnet/freednc.htm
i am told that only the Dynacom program from dyna mechtronics will work
with their mill, and only on a 486 @ 33mhz or less or any 386 computer.
i figured there is bound to be a "universal" type rs232 transmit
program that will work with this mill (dyna 2400) and a modern
computer. there are also CPU slowdown programs that can be interfaced
with programs, i cant figure it all out. I have gotten Dyancom to work
on a 3.06ghz CPU with MoSlo, but have not successfully transmitted
data....not meaning it cant be done....just that i might not have it
(com parameters/rs232 cable) set up correctly yet. If you are familiar
with dynacom and the 2400 i can explain how far i got before nothing
further has been accomplished. let me know if we can take this further.
