I understood they were pines or Larch, John. The foliage shouldn't
change substantially.

Hemlock is what he said, and I missed, which are evergreen, so change
will be less of a problem. I stand corrected.

And, don't forget, he's already getting marginal connectivity with a
consumer AP at the host site. A directional rig should better that
substantially.

More signal, but multipath may still be a problem.
