I made the leap! I followed DanS advice but did upgrade it from the
9dbi to the 16dbi. I purchased an

Engenius / EOC-3220+ / 54Mbps / 802.11g / - 400mW / 16 dbi Outdoor
Wireless Access Point/Bridge
Belkin F5D7132
and a long wire of Outdoor + Shielded Cat 5e
