I have a Toshiba Satellite running Windows Vista. It is using a
Linksys WRT54G.
Two good product choices :)
I want to disconnect from the Linksys router and directly connect to
my cable modem.
In other words, I do not want to go wireless.
If you only want to connect one computer at a time (or you only have one computer) then you can do that easily; just that you of course won't have the router's builtin features.
As another poster said, you can easily just disable its wireless feature and still use it as a router, in case you add more clients on later.
