Plus the name is in the title of the URI which I have noticed that will
count as a link.
Changed "titla" to title. Typo there.:-)
True.
Have you ever notice that sometimes when a page shows up
and you check the cache it has that the page has links pointing to it for
that phrase if you don't have the word listed, and there aren't any links to
it but it is in the URI or title it will count as a link. Just thought you
would like to know that bit of info.
I still probably would! That was vintage Stacy though so I couldn't
follow it.
LOL! I am still trying to figure out why you added Lisa with an "S" not "Z" when you wanted us to find your page for on-page optimisation with an "S" not "Z". Confused me a bit.
OK, let me try again. When you are looking for a key phrase and a site that comes up with either some of the words or not all of the words it will say that the words have links to the page using those word/s when you check the cache. It was what I said above, it if is in the "title" or in the URI it will count as a link and doesn't have to have links to it from other pages. Did that help some.:-)
Then of course:
http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&aq=t&ie=UTF-8&rlz=1T4TSHB_enDE238DE238&q=%22on%2dpage+optimisation%22
not really a big phrase out there on the web.
But all in all pretty good.
Thanks. I have a couple of them, not hard to get but they can look
good to the rubes. Also they do make their point in some ways, does
on-page optimisation work? Yup, it sure do. I absolutely creak the
bejasus out of it where I can. I have to admit I'm not the greatest
when it comes to link-gathering, I haven't yet developed proper
techniques for it.
Oh, I do on page also that is how I got the "catalog" SERPs for my homedecorcenter.net.:-) I am fairly decent at it and with the right links you will be surprised how well you can do.
<snip>
Through what process though?
Through searches and a forum.:-)
You offer your services on the web and they get found? I don't know
why I'm surprised, it's what I do.
You are surprised I get found on the web?
<snip>
Yeah, I did for 2 and 1/2 months. You know I just got back from my long
hiatus looking for a home. I now need to catch up so I can move again!
I haven't moved for 30 years.
Well it will be my last.:-)
<snip>
Sound thinking. I suppose that each year necessarily you have to
update the content, something Google likes to see.
Yes, and of course the products get discontinued and you get newer ones.
Which keeps it all fresh. It all makes sense actually. I'm fed up with
clients. Again.
Yeah, it can be discouraging with some clients. Shoot one I finally gave the money back cause he couldn't make up his mind with a site design.
I also did some graphic design for a company's soap label a few months ago. Got paid pretty good for that job. The company was please and asked if they could use me again and to let them know once I got back for a bigger job. Well I haven't told them yet as I just don't have the time. To get with the mix of things my daughter is getting married again in May and I have to help withy that. Her invitations, flowers, etc., plus moving, and my sites. I will just keep doing what I can.
<snip>
I might move on to the more elegant nature but that would have to be in the
future if I get the money and care to do so.
Elegant nature?
Yeah, brass, crystal, fancy, Victorian home decor and stuff. My home decor inventory isn't the pristine elegant stuff.
My next bigger venture in
purchasing will be exporting Polish Pottery. There are already a few who do
this, but I didn't see any where I am at. I am looking into also going brick
and mortar.
Now that is a departure.
Yep, I figure why not do both. If you have the stock in inventory why not do both internet marketing and brick and mortar.
I see a few online but they do not have enough of it not enough
patterns. We will have to see once I get settled in to my final home and
move all my inventory from MO to KY.
I have my sites set high, hopefully not to high, but that is me trying to be
well set money wise in my older days. Trying to get into larger ventures as
it can help the family also and I got some friends that would like to move
and start a brick and mortar business together with me.
Well good luck with that.
Well thanks. It will be awhile though. For me years go by real quick and it only feels like a couple of months and I don't get done what I want to do.
