Which is it ? Black Magic or hard work? It's up to you to decide but
from experience I can guarantee you that you will not see a #1 ranking
on Google or any other search engine without at least a little work,
often a lot. It is not likely that you can do it on your own without
a little help from someone who has been around for a while or a good
software program or both.
I did it on my own, but it did take an effort indeed ("algebra").
I believe MSN is the key engine to optimize for if you are looking for
savvy customers who already know what they want and are not willing to
accept a bunch of silly nonsense on your website. They are prepped and
ready to buy. You just have to help them find your site.
I tend to think of MSN customers as bot infested suckers without money.
Then the other side of the coin is the folks that say SEO is not
important that if you have good quality content you will rank high
anyhow...sounds a little like LSI.
High quality content is, more or less, a must.
Traffic from Yahoo and MSN is about 25-30% of my search engine
visits. The rest comes from google.
i
lol and both yahoo and msn are happy to accept blog spam links as seo
factors
