it's been made over a bit but it's still the same place. So I had the
most frightening look under the bed I ever had in my life and guess
what was there doing the breathing? A hedgehog, snuggled up under my
bed all warm and comfy. It must have come in by the kitchen, through
the living room, had a good old wander, and then decided to have a
snooze in the bedroom. I will never forget that moment, realising that
someone else in the room was breathing too.

Really? LOL!! Those little guys breathe loud don't they? So you had a
little monster under the bed.:-)

That was just SO wierd!

They are noisy as hell. We had a hedgehog at home for a few weeks about
ten years ago. One night it decided to move its nest (made mainly of old
newspapers) from our bedroom to the Juniors bedroom (longest and most
curved path through our old house). First it tried to dig under the door
of our bedroom and did it so efficiently, that it destroyed carpet. So I
have opened the door in a vague hope we will be able to sleep rest of the
night. No way. Rest of the night it was thumping and pushing/pulling these
newspapers... It is incredible how much noise so small animal can make
using one *** of newspaper in the middle of the night :)

LOL! Maybe you had made to much noise snoring that it wanted to move to
Juniors room.:-) Wow, who would have thought these little characters could
have these good stories.:-)

Small animals make plenty of noise. Have you ever heard a mouse at night
going through a little foil bag to get to macaroni and eating it? My husband
had left one of those instant mac and cheese in his work bag, that the
little mouse found. It is like they have noses for food and can smell
through anything. Of course the sound is worse with them chewing through the
walls.:-)

I have a mouse lives in the flat with me. He sneaks chicken bones and
then hides behind things and makes huge noises gnawing at them.
