I am not convinced about some of the theories going around.
301 / 302 - don't use them
duplicate content - nope.
broken links - nope
affiliate - nope
IBLs - plenty of.
Same here; with the exception of my own UseNet posts, which other sites
mirror (including Google Groups that is now listed among Web results
*gasp*). Dmitri said that the www appendage, of which I was a sufferer,
could have an impact, but that was at the earlier stages when uncertainty
loomed.
You mean the canonical issue ?
I never had a problem with that either
Nor do I use google sites maps (another theory afaicr that was banded
about)
These were speculations that I preferred to ignore. Fixing or changing would
have been a PITA, time wise. If it's not broken (site has always done well),
why try to fix it? Unless, of course, there were definite answers making the
rounds.
I have noticed that for the last 4 days or so that DC 64.233.179.99
has come into the fold along with the other three. (see earlier post)
but nothing else with the other DCs.
I have just tried this IP, but the cache results I get from that datacentre
are consistent with the rest.
have a look using tippy.
try beaded jewelry
using http://www. houstoncrafts.com
it is a good example (for me) to check the other DCs
Yes, I use that tool. I tick all 3 boxes, which shows me SE saturation (well,
just Google) in a variety of separate datacentres.
Boy, I miss that Google juice. Meanwhile, I
just drink some black instant coffee (not just a timely phrase). Google
Images serves me better than ever before (more images referrlas than text
referrlas), whilst other referrals are down to a quarter of what they used
to be. Yahoo and MSN are on the rise in my case, so not all is poo. *sips
coffee*
I've always have good results with google images and I see not drop in
that dept.
Good. So it's unlikely (or at least *less* likely) to change.
I've been having some fun for the last few days. Whilst google is
knackered and my hotlink filter is broken, I have been altering images
on the site.
One guy who advertises that he is a stud now has a gay man image as a
background and a clairvoyant site now has a less desirable image on
her site. I bet she didn't see that one coming. :)
These circumstances can be amusing. After 2 weeks of no response from a large
forum's administrators (I E-mailed with a gentle, polite request), I had his
avatar swapped with a picture of a penis. Not a complimentary picture, I
must add. My logs later indicated that many visitors witnessed the shameful
display before he had this rectified (pun intended).
Best wishes,
Roy
