I think it was directed at me. Or at least to try and fool me.

Like I said, about 3 years ago there was a virus that did exactly this. It
was not aimed at a single person.

Could be one of our spammer or asian frends that we have "helped" here

Doubt it, since then I would get 10x more spam :-D.
