I think the free service is a bit of a misleading one: Google works
because it gets your content, and you get visitors because of Google. Its
a mutual free service. Or maybe better: all owners of webpages probably
pay more then Google, and Google also makes more.
It seems that a new "feature" of Google is going to be that with a search
result one can get more info: a much larger snippet with pictures. I am
sure quite some people are going to weep when that happens, since some
sites hide the part one wants to see between many ads.
