By linking with sites that are not in relation to you and those sites that
you link with link out to everyone has got your relatedness down now. All
this was due to your linking scheme. You need to keep a good eye on who
you link with.

There is more to it than that.
It isn't about who you link with or even about who links to you,
it is the position of the links that can cause this.
There is a bug in the Google similar search feature
that can easily be manipulated.
Less said in a public the better though.
