So, what if another website has a main page with a big PR rank of 7 or
8. But the page within that site where they link to you from has no
rank. Does that mean you get no benefit from being linked to from that
site? I've noticed that most sites with high PR don't link out to
others from that highly rated page, but usually have links on an inner
page with much, much lower rank?
Page rank ranks pages, not sites.
Page rank is only one of many factors that influences where your site
appears in search results.
Only the gullible are still paying for page rank; it is almost invariably
money down the Swanee.
