I don't get the point. On the net, a content provider pays the bandwith he needs to connect his servers, all other bandwidth costs are shared by the users.

In what respect does Google enjoy more of a free lunch than Mama's Pizza Shop web site?


Lots more people use the existing infrastructure to reach the Google
service than they do to reach the Mama's Pizza service.

And the people who do reach for Google already paid for the service, so why should Deutsche Telekom get paid by Google?

Who will be next? Siemens, because they make money by selling phones?
