Hi,
I have a title attribute in my links (css navbar for articles) and I was
wondering what everyone thought about it from an SEO perspective.
I don't believe that any of the major engines evaluate those
attributes.
Hi BB
I want to keep it so the user can have a better idea of what the link points
to and now I am thinking about SEO. I can have the same effect with
tooltips. Do the major SE's evaluate tooltips?
If you think about it, it doesn't make sense that the SE's wouldn't evaluate
this attribute. The majority of the browsers used will display this
information on hover. Is your information an assumption or did you get it
from a trusted source?
In a volatile environment, one would be foolish to trust any source
absolutely. As I write an engine may be programming to take note of
the attributes under discussion. For now, though, personally, I won't
be using the technique you describe.
