I had great success with Zeuss (the free edition)

You customise the spider to search critera and site relevance through an initial fairly time consuming process.
Then configure the auto e-mailer with your own words to make it appear as a personalised message to each and every contact, and select the sites to e-mail.
Before long you'll have more sites than you can shake a pointy stick at. (though many won't of course respond to your requests).
