Has anyone ever used HTML-Kit 292 ?
http://www.htmlkit.com/download/next/
I was looking around at various editors today.. I found TopStyle
Lite and another one called Simple Css and have been playing around
with them... but I also found the HTML-Kit292 that looks like it
might be pretty good.
Any opinions on it?
I use it daily. This is not WYSIWYG, but rather a full featured, fully
customizable text editor with hundreds of plug ins for just about
anything you could imagine. No nag screens or reminders, just free
all the way, no strings attached. Although it is no longer under
development, it's still way ahead of some of the newer stuff out
there.
There is also a paid version called HTML-Kit Tools that is still a
work in progress with weekly updates. It is rapidly becoming my
favorite over the free 292 version. It's worth every penny.
Chami, the developer, runs the support newsgroups and personally
answers every question or problem in less than 12 hours, not bad for
freeware. There are many others (myself included) in the groups that
will respond sooner if we know the answer.
Try HTML-Kit 292, you won't be sorry.
Thanks for the info. I'll give it a try.
