On the surface it strikes me as more cumbersome and, hence, less
useful, than just regular email. I mean, in my email reader I see
spam, useful recognized messages, and unknown messages. They are
easily categorized and trashed or responded to. To add another layer
on that seems needlessly complex. Maybe I'm just not getting what
you're proposing.
Email is working fine for me. I know my software. I know my host
systems. Why would I want to add yet another program/layer to that
system?
Again, maybe I'm just being obtuse and clueless. Which wouldn't be the
first time!
Well, one thing about email that somebody mentioned and reminded me of in a
thread above, it's usually pretty easy to setup "temporary" email addresses
with any host, using them to redirect to a "permanent" one while changing
the temp every week or even more often. That's really probably the best
way to deal with spam in general today. As for my form suggestion, I think
it could be made just as "transparent" as regular email is now., but one
_would_ have to type or paste the text into a form field.
