Hmm, that's interesting. I've only had 2 encounters with their
supporters: the problem you mentioned and I, uh, sorta misplaced my
Captain Midnight-level password. Unfortunately, I don't have the
relevant correspondence anymore (new computer) and I probably did have
to turn off the counter in the website manager gizmo, but the appended
text went away.
Here's something. For the first couple of months, the foreign text
still appeared when the page first loaded (in "view source") but
disappeared (upon full load, I guess) and didn't cause the spacing
problems I was experiencing before. After that, the text stopped
appearing completely. Of course, I was using mostly php pages in them
days so maybe that had something to do with it.
Anyway, that's all I know so best of luck.
