You are not alone, although in my eyes the quartz anniversary clocks
are 50% worse. Or the older plug-in clocks with a constant-velocity
pendulum that just abruptly changed direction at the end of the
swing.

The non-timekeeping pendulums would be a bit better if they would
either eliminate the seconds hand, or sync it with the pendulum.
