Thanks for the quick info. You are right about the angry cicada. My
watch is a bit less grand than the LeCoultre photo you provided --
perhaps I could say more 'sporty?' The alarm hand is squiggly, and has
a red pointer. Plus the cardinal points are wider, and were at one
time coated with some kind of glow-in-the dark substance (that's all
gone now). There's a big '12' at noon so I know how to put the watch
on when the alarm goes off in the morning :)
So far, it's been okay as my daily watch -- keeps time well enough for
my purposes, and is it really a chore to wind and set from time to
time? I don't think so, but I'll wager that's a question for another
group.
