Lawyer Jack:

You should reread precisely what I said and then look up the
definition of slander before making statements like that. As I
remember on thisforumyou have made many similar unflattering
statements about theforumwhipping boy - Rolex. C'mon...at least be
consistent.
There is no evidence of where the B&R movement originated on the
company website, and that website should be the principal source for
information about their brand. Indeed their website has fuzzy pictures
and precious little specific information theirwatches.

Wearing a watch that looks like a fat aircraft gauge is pre-teen boy
stuff. Imaginewatchesdesigned after missiles, cars and cartoon
characters. But $100,000 for a hard to read watch with purposeless
features? What people with more dollars than sense will buy is
amazing.

I don't need to look it up, I know it already. Technically, what you did is
libel, not slander, because you wrote it and did not speak it. I was using
slander in the colloquial sense, not a as a legal term. The kind of stuff I
write about Rolex is legally protected either as a statement of opinion
("Rolex sucks" is not libel) or with the defense of truth ("Walt Odets
documented poor finish in at least one Rolex in a famous TimeZone article,
complete with photos). The kind of stuff you say in this post (Aircraft
stylewatchesare dumb) is legally protected. What is not protected is
making false, unsupported factual statements ("Bell and Rosswatchesare
Made in China") - that crosses the line. Just because they don't mention
Switzerland on their website doesn't give you free reign to accuse them of
making theirwatchesin China without any proof. As I said before theirwatchesare marked "Swiss Made" and (within the limitation of what "Swiss
Made" means as far as content) you have zero proof that they are lying,
unless you are holding cards you haven't shown us.- 隐藏被引用文字 -
