Re: An ideal wristwatch: I You Can't Buy It, Lease It!

I'm trying to find a gent's digital wristwatch that will tell me:-

1. The time (HH.MM.SS)
2. The dayname (MON, TUE etc)
3. The day of the month ( 01 ... 31)
4. The month of the year (JAN, FEB etc)

.. all in reasonably large clear characters.

I want it to be radio-controlled and solar-powered, with an LCD display,
no moving (or movable) parts and with an adjustable stainless steel strap..
I DON'T want a stopwatch, timer, backlight, alarm, altimeter,
depth gauge, barometer, moon phases, zodiac signs - or any other needless
'function', so it shouldn't need any knobs or those lousy pushbuttons, and
so could be made completely waterproof - completely sealed for life in fact.

Am I alone in wanting a watch like that ?

Why do they insist on making those godawful, hard to read,
everything-but-the-kitchen-sink technological monstrosities that don't
last five minutes anyway?

Whatever your ideal watch is, if you cannot buy it outright for
whatever reasons, lease it:
