I've read that Zenith cannot be sold in the U.S. because
its name conflicts with another Zenith trademark which
is TV and electronics stuff.

I had never heard of or seen Zenith time pieces before, but then, I
guess there are a lot of them out there I have never heard of or seen
before.One of the good things about thrift stores and junk shops (and
pawn shops for old tools I like to collect) is I never know what I will
find there.
I am not an expert on time pieces.One of the old ladies wind up
wristwatches I own (I don't ever wear a ladies wristwatch) is a La
Marque 17 jewels wristwatch.
