The Speidels were tremedous hair pullers. In fact, I think hair was the only
thing that kept them anchored in place - otherwise they were either too
loose and slid around or too tight and dug into your flesh - you'd take one
off and you could see the marks of the spring links imprinted on your arm
for about a week. They seem to have died a well deserved death of
popularity.

I remember the Speidel wristwatch bands commercials that were on tv back
in the 1950s.I think I have one or two of them somewhere around here.
