Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but doesn't the seconds hand on virtually
any quartz movement stop more or less on the minute marker?
I do not think that the motion is exactly on the second, second by
second. In any case, no second hand stops at 12, ie after 59 seconds
for one second. The Mondaine quartz as well as automatic movements
needed special adaptation of the corresponding wheels.
