Re: The best case opener ever?

A lot of modern wristwatches are glass back so a suction cup would work
really well on those. I gather that the Screwball does not work on an air
suction effect which requires a seal but rather relies on the stickiness of
soft rubber so I would guess that it would work on an engraved case back.

If I didn't already own an Indian Jaxa copy I'd go for the Screwball but as
it is the pseudo-Jaxa works well enough for my needs. I'm also waiting for
the Chinese guys on ebay or Harbor Freight to get a hold of this so that the
price drops from $8.95 to 99 cents which is what it must cost to make a
rubber ball.

Interesting design that apparently gives a lot of twisting power.

Many years ago I got a black rubber affair that looks more like a
hockey puck with suction cups from the now defunct S. LaRose. It
worked reasonably well on pocketwatches but less so on modern textured
back wristwatches. For $8.00 I'll give it a try.
