As requested, please find underneath a first look into thevery
extended world of Stainless Steel alloys. I am sure thatour
metalurgists shall be pleased to give us all a lot moreinformation as
which alloys befit the watch industry (3l3 + 316 with manyvariations):
For a really useful technological advance, how about an
alloy withOUT nickel to serve the not inconsiderable number
of people with nickel allergy?
This is exactly what the watch industry is aiming at: nickelless
Titanium would be the best everywhere. Unfortunately the Japanese,
especially Citizen, have lowered the image of the metal too much.
