Patek Philippe could go broke trying to build a mechanical watch as

People wear Rolexes despite the fact that they need to be set every so
often. Call me old fashioned, but this quest for perfect accuracy from
a mechanical watch seems pointless. If I'm late it's never because of
my watch, it's usually traffic. I suspect that the people who claim 1 -
2 second per day accuracy from the likes of Poljots and Seiko 5s lie
about their golf scores too.
In main stream western culture the watch is really the only acceptable
piece of jewelry for a man. (This does not consider pimps, drug dealers
or rap singers who are or would have you believe they are pimps or drug
dealers or those who otherwise emulate pimps, drug dealers or rap
singers, to be part of mainstream western culture.) Tattoos and body
piercings are becoming more mainstream but I prefer something less
painful and not quite so permanent. On days that I have to wear a suit
I can pick a nice tie.

Computer stuff(especially dealing with the internet) has
completely altered my experience of the passage of time.
I can remember(vaguely) when waiting 5 sec for something
to happen was not a particularly difficult thing.
But I can't even imagine sitting for a tattoo... spending an
attentive half hour or so focused on another person doodling
in pain on the skin, erm... MY skin. Don't care *what* kind
of clock you use, nossir!
