Large watches was Re: Victorinox Swiss Army Airboss Mach 5, what movement?

I wonder why huge, chunky watches are in fashion these days? I've also got a fairly small wrist, although I'm not a small guy overall, and a typical dive watch would make me look like I'm borrowing Daddy's watch. Is there some kind of horological size contest going on and I'm just completely missing the point?
It's OK, though, I like 50's style stuff anyway, and the '57 Longines on my wrist now not only fits me better than most upscale new watches but looks about right hanging out the window of my '55 Stude coupe :)
Hmm... now that I reread my post... I wonder what happened to my dad's old Hamilton? I should ask him about it one of these days. I remember when cheap quartz watches were introduced, he couldn't get one fast enough because it was such a pain winding it every day and having it serviced every couple years... probably still in the bottom of his dresser drawer...

The Swiss Army probably has an ETA 2893-2 like the Hamilton. The Hamilton is a HUMONGO HUGE watch. Not for me, small wrists.

Don't make unfounded accusations.. Swiss Army is a reputable firm. Most buyers don't know or care what an eta 2893-2 is. Better not to say anything than to make up a phony caliber # of their own the way a lot of manufacturers do. Looking at the watch in person it would be perfectly evident what caliber was inside - they're not trying to hide anything.

Hi all,
I totally into the design and function of the Victorinox Swiss Army
Airboss Mach 5 automatic watch.

However, try as I might, I couldn't find what is the movement used.
Here are my questions:
1) What movement?
2) Manually wind possible?
It has a GMT hand. I'm not sure whether it is the ubiquitous ETA
2824/2.
Don't you care if the case is 35 or 55 mm/diameter or 5 or 15 mm/thick?
I think the manufacturer's failure to specify the movement is a pretty
good reason to buy something else. What... could be the reason for
failing to mention that information?
ISTM they're much prouder of their name than of their product... which
leads me to wonder why.
