Re: Identify and value a Tag Heuer watch?

I've had a Tag watch hidden away in the closet for say 15 years or so, that

It was hidden away because I never liked it, too bulky: the "Water resistant
to 1000 meters"-feature was not really me..

I thought I should try to identify it and somehow put a value on it?
..any suggestions or tips ?

First off, if it is a quartz movement, determine whether a battery was
left in the watch, whether it leaked and get it replaced. If it's a
mechanical movement you should be able to set it running.

Ebay is a pretty good indicator of current resale value for many goods
including watches. Check current and closed listings for deep dive
watches by Tag as well as other brands to get a sense for what it would
sell for.

You might also pose your question to the collectors on the Ultimate
Dive Watch Forum and the Poor Mans Watch Forum. Between those two fora
you will find an extensive number of guys with an interest in and
information about dive watches. Very large dive watches with deep
water ratings seem to have quite a following so you should be able to
find out something about collector interest and value.
