So I did the experiment. I tested both now how well are they winding.
I waited until they
stopped, set time, took bot in one hand and shook 20 times. To my big
surprize both stopped almost simultaneously (~2hr 40min ± 5 minutes
for 20 shakes, done 3 times). The difference between two watch was no
more than 3 minutes each time. So now its really hard to say which one
is better.
I saw another article: http://www.abbeyclock.com/photos/watchesir.html
but that still did not clarify my dilemma.
For a measure of winding efficiency to have any meaning it should be
performed in the real world.
A rough real world test might be to wear each watch separately for 7
days, then set each watch down and see how long it ran. This is a very
approximate test because of the following:
1. The overall power reserve for each movement is likely different.
2. The mnovements may be in different stages os maintenance. The one
with old gummy oil would likely perform the worst.
