To Noah
The bigger fool is not knowing that there is a problem and
unfortunately this is where it stands.Making huge allowances for
unfamiliarity with the very specific maneuvering emerging from the
late 17th and 18th centuries celestial cataloguers and theorists
generates this conceptual dithering surrounding clocks and their
relationship with celestial motions. The relationship between 24 hour
clock noon and natural noon is fixed by the Equation of Time and this
principles carries over to the heliocentric adaption top axial rotation
at precisely,I repeat precisely, 15degrees of rotation per hour.
Now,do you wish to inform the IERS that they are wasting people's time
and creating huge obstacles for the actual working principles of axial
and orbital motions for climatological, geological and astronomical
purposes ?. Do you wish to continue with exotic theoretical excesses
applied to the observed Universe at the expense of Copernican
heliocentricity and its later refienements given that the
heliocentricity was the major casualty of that 17th century misconduct
?.
I cannot be goaded into a slanging match of insults because as far as
I'm concerned people insult their own intelligence by following after
conceptual sidereal rubbish and ostracism and killfiling does not work
because being the dominant consensus for 3 centuries hardly compares
with the rich tradition in astronomy and timekeeping that precedes it
by milllenia.
Only sometimes will a genuine watchmaker concede that the Equation of
Time which generates the equable 24 hour day to which the standard pace
of hours, minutes and seconds are fixed -

Not a single person, not one has bothered to consider how the equable 24
hour day made the transition to its heliocentric adaption to
independent axial rotation but are led by the nose by careless people
who appreceate neither the pre-Copernican principles never mind it
heliocentreic adaption.
It is not just important,it is very important to get this right.
