I took it to a reputable watch dealer.
They estimated $257 dollars to fix 1.) replace the stem and crown 2.) replace the hands 3.) full service cleaning.
Now I am not complaining about the price because I respect the watch repairmen very much and understand it could take a lot of time and the watch needed some TLC.
I decided I would not spend that much money on the watch.
there is also a number on the movement 902 002
2.) How/where can I get parts for this thing?? Parts catalog? Would it be wiser just to do a movement swap?? If so how would I order that?? I have looked on ebay and on the net and no luck.
eta 902.002 or eta 902.005 the basic movement, worth about $10, usually you get a new stem supplied with the new movement, you probably will not be able to get the old crown off without the stem breaking, so add a new crown to the list of parts.
3.) Is there anything I can do to the dial to stop more rusting fromm occuring?
Rodico, use it to carefully clean the dial front, watch it doesn't lift the paint off, the dial back, a small glass brush will scrub the rust stains off, the the dial is brass, so will not rust.
